Damiani just opened a boutique in the new department store Palacio de Hierro Interlomas, in one of the most prestigious residential area of Mexico City. The new boutique offers a wide choice of the most representative Damiani Collections to a Latin American audience, very interested in the jewelry sector and Made in Italy products in general. With the Mexico City opening, Damiani is consolidating its presence in America where there are already boutiques in Los Angeles, New York, Honolulu and Monterrey.

31 August marked the end of the important charity initiative in favour of the Japanese population who suffered the terrible disaster 11 March 2011. The initiative, in Damiani boutiques in Milan, Florence, Bologna, Rome, Naples, Turin, Verona, New York, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Tokyo, Paris, Hong Kong and Macao, focused on collecting funds to help support the women living in devastated areas.
The profits from the sale of a special selection of jewels from Damiani collections have been destined to the Japanese association Japanese Organization for International Cooperation in Family Planning (JOICFP) running operations locally to help the female population, including healthcare, basic necessities for mothers and children, financial support and guaranteed post-natal hospitality.
In October, the LILT (Lega Italiana per la Lotta contro i Tumori – Italian association against cancer) resumed its breast cancer prevention work with the Pink Ribbon Campaign, now at its 18th edition in Italy. Overcoming the disease is possible in the majority of cases, especially through prevention and early diagnosis.
